I finally bought an iPhone this weekend. Gosh it's shiny. I didn't know that I'd really need to be connected to the internet 24/7, but it sure is handy.
Directions to the karaoke bar? Got 'em. Facebook status updates? Got 'em. If you posted to your blog this weekend, I probably read it on my phone. Bubble wrap game? Got it. (Thanks Smash!) What's Bollywood? Why, I have YouTube! Let's look it up! What's playing on Broadway right now? Let's have a look-see! Email me at 1:30 AM? I might respond right away! Recipes! Restaurant recommendations! Scriptures and other gospel resources! White noise generator!
Seriously. I used all of those this weekend, though some of them I was just investigating their usefulness. Basically, the iPhone is awesome. I'm a fan.

You, my friend, are a geek. :)
I thank you, from the bottom of my geeky heart.
Andrew is crying right now.
A friend just got the 32GB iPod, which does all of that, too, but isn't a phone. It was the coolest shiny new toy I'd seen in ages. I think my favourite thing is how you can turn it and the orientation changes from portrait to landscape automatically - such a small thing but so handy.
Enjoy it! So often shiny new toys disappoint. Good to know this one isn't.
Thanks! So far, so good!
