Haven't shared some of my current favorite music lately, have I?
Brett Dennen - Don't Forget
Our first one comes from Eilonwy. She asked me to find the guitar tabs, and I'd never heard it before, so I looked it up. Instant love.
Brian Stokes Mitchell - New Words
Sisterpants directed to this next one. Brian Stokes Mitchell is on the list of men who can sing to sleep anytime. This song just touches my soul and, when I listen, I can't wait to have kids, just so I can have moments like this.
Arvo Part - Spiegel im Spiegel
I found this one thanks, in part, to Mr. T. One evening we were at his place, he was on the phone or something and I was reading, and we had classical music playing. This piece came on and I was struck by its simplicity. It's so peaceful and reminds me to just chill the heck out.
Ingrid Michaelson - Be OK
Speaking of chilling the heck out, this one is a good one for it too.
Joyce Jonathan - Je ne sais pas
I listen to a lot of French music for someone who speaks very little of the language. I don't even remember exactly what this song is about, but I think it's darling anyway. One day, I will learn French. That's a promise.
Enjoy! I know I do. What are some of your favorite songs lately?

I love that Brett Dennen song.
And you should hear Brian Stokes Mitchell talking about writing that song. He wrote it for his song. Makes it an even more tearful song.
I'll have to tell Brett to add that Arvo Part song to his Pandora station. And maybe ask him to learn to play it too. Although it sounds like something I might be able to do.
I must get my hands on a DVD or public broadcast of the that concert!
I think I'm capable of learning the piano part to Arvo Part piece. It's the violin part that I'm lacking. If only I were an octopus and could play two instruments at once.
